You're listening to Mr. English Podcast by Mr. English Podcast. Hi everyone. Welcome back to the Mr. English Podcast. I'm Jessica. And I'm John. And today we're making plans. We'll teach you how to ask someone about their plans, suggest plans, and talk about the future naturally. Perfect. Because my schedule is empty. Completely empty. We'll fix that today. John, what are you doing this weekend? Me? I'm uh thinking about doing something productive. Translation: I have no idea what I'm doing. Correct. Let's learn some useful questions. What are you doing this weekend? Do you have any plans for tonight? Are you free on Saturday? Would you like to? Let me try. Jessica, are you free this Saturday? Depends. What chaos are you planning? Okay. Would you like to grab coffee? Good. You can also say, "Do you want to go hiking? How about a movie?" We could try that new restaurant. Let's go for a walk. All right. How about we go to the park? That sounds nice. Or we could visit the museum. Great. See, making plans isn't hard. Unless the plan is clean my room, then it becomes impossible. Now, let's practice reactions. If you want to say yes, that sounds great. I'd love to. Sure, I'm free. Let's do it. If you want to say no politely, I'm not sure I can. Maybe another time. Sorry, I already have plans. I'm a bit busy that day. Okay, Jessica, try rejecting me. John, I reject you all the time. Wow, that actually hurt. Okay. Okay, here's a polite one. Sorry, I'm a bit busy on Saturday. That's so much nicer. Repeat after me. What are you doing this weekend? Would you like to grab coffee? That sounds great. Sorry. Maybe another time. Let's make plans for Saturday. Nice. Keep practicing to sound natural. One time I planned to wake up early and exercise. And I woke up at 12 and exercised my right arm by picking up a donut. That's not a workout. It is if the donut is heavy, John. What if someone changes the plan last minute? Easy. I'm flexible. Are you? Absolutely not. If someone changes the plan, I panic.
