All right, John, tell me how you feel. Okay, I feel uh weird. That is not a feeling. Let's use real emotion words. I feel happy. I feel worried. I feel annoyed. I feel excited. Okay, let me try. I feel overwhelmed because my neighbor's dog barked at me for 20 minutes straight. That's a great use of overwhelmed. Thanks. I was also scared and confused and slightly insulted like why me? When talking about feelings, you can use one, I feel plus adjective. I feel nervous. I feel relaxed. Two, I'm feeling plus adjective. Temporary. I'm feeling stressed today. Three, I'm plus adjective. I'm happy. I'm frustrated. What about big feelings? Sure. I'm exhausted. Very tired. I'm thrilled. Very excited. I'm upset. Sad or angry? I'm relieved. Problem gone. I'm disappointed. Expectation failed. Okay, then. Today I'm feeling disappointed. Why? Because the cafe ran out of donuts. John, now let's practice reacting politely to someone's feelings. If someone is sad, I'm sorry to hear that. That sounds tough. If someone is happy, that's great. I'm so happy for you. If someone is angry, I understand why you feel that way. Do you want to talk about it? Okay, let me try. Jessica, I feel stressed. I'm sorry to hear that. What's stressing you? My laundry machine is broken again. Okay. Yes, that is stressful, right? I have no clean socks. This is an emotional crisis. That's not a crisis. That's a trip to the store. Repeat after me. I feel excited. I'm feeling a little nervous. I'm frustrated right now. I'm really happy for you. I understand how you feel. Great speaking practice. Keep going. One time I felt so nervous before a job interview that I almost cancelled it. But you made it, right? Yes. And afterward, I felt relieved. I once felt proud because I cooked a real meal. What did you make? Toast. John. Jessica, what do you call the feeling when you're tired, hungry, angry, and sleepy at the same time? Being a toddler. No, being me. Then the phrase you're looking for is I feel done.
