Today we're talking about one of the best topics ever, food. We'll show you how to talk about your favorite foods, describe taste, and express your food cravings in English. Whether you love spicy noodles, sweet desserts, or salty snacks, you'll learn how to say it all naturally and with flavor. So, John, serious question. What's your favorite food? Oh, wow. That's tough. I think it has to be pizza. Thin crust, melty cheese, lots of mushrooms. I could eat that every day. You and half the planet. For me, I'm obsessed with Thai food. I love spicy curries and noodle dishes. Pad thai, green curry, you name it. I like Thai food, too, but not too spicy. Once I ate a dish that literally made me cry. Been there. So, what kind of flavors do you like? Sweet, salty, spicy? I'm definitely a savory guy. I like things that are salty, garlicky, or full of herbs. Same. But I also love dessert. Give me a slice of cheesecake and I'm happy. Okay. But do you have any weird food preferences? H I like pineapple on pizza. That's a controversial one. I don't hate it, but it wouldn't be my first choice. That's okay. Everyone's taste is different. Let's break down some useful words and expressions we used. One, I'm obsessed with you love it a lot. Two, I'm obsessed with Thai food. Three, savory. The opposite of sweet, salty, herby, rich flavors. Four, I like savory dishes more than sweet ones. Five, craving when you really want to eat something. Six, I'm craving something spicy. Seven, I can't stand. A strong way to say you dislike something. Eight. I can't stand onions. Nine. My go-to dish, something you always choose. 10. Pizza is my go-to. 11. Too sweet/tospicy slash too salty. Use these to describe what you don't like. 12. This soup is too salty for me. Also, adjectives to describe taste. One. Sweet. Cake. Chocolate, honey. Two, spicy. Chili, curry, hot sauce. Three, sour, lemon, vinegar, pickles. Four, bitter, black coffee, dark chocolate. Five, salty chips, soy sauce. Six, creamy ice cream, pasta sauce. Seven, crunchy fried food crackers. Let's practice some sentences together. Ready? I love spicy food. My favorite food is pizza with mushrooms. I'm craving something sweet. I don't like bitter coffee. My go-to dish is stir- fried noodles. I can't stand anything too oily. Let's do a short example. You're meeting a friend for lunch and they ask, "Hey, what do you feel like eating today?" H I'm kind of craving noodles. Something warm and savory. Sounds good. There's a new ramen place nearby. Want to try it? Perfect. I'll meet you there. Talking about food is such a fun way to connect with people, and it's something we all love.
